Here are 11 podcasts I listen to. Podcasts are very popular nowadays thanks to amazing content like the podcast Serial. Personally I have been enjoying podcasts since 2008 so I can safely say that I am a pre-Serial fan. I can even remember intently watching Steve Jobs highlighting a podcasting feature in GarageBand way back in 2006, and checking it out for myself.
During the early years of podacsting one mostly found re-published content; like a radio show recording an episode’s live broadcast and publishing it later through a podcast feed (at least this was my take on it at the time). As someone always on the move, I quite liked this because it meant I could listen to shows independent my geographical location or time. I mainly listened to Travel with Rick Steves until 2012 when it all changed for me.
In 2012 I came across the information that comedian Adam Carolla was making history in podcasting by being so popular and actually making money with podcasting, something that was elusive in the industry. I had no idea that Adam Carolla had even started a podcast, so I became intrigued and put more of my interest into this form of communication. Now I can’t get enough sometimes.
